Barry J. Henry, MD

Dr. Barry Henry has always been drawn to helping others, which naturally led him to a career in healthcare. Self-discipline combined with his strong spirituality helped him excel as a student. After graduating from LSU, he performed his residency at Texas Tech Health Science School and received "The Texas Orthopaedic Association Resident Research Award" in 1998. In September of 2000 he opened his current practice with the goal of offering the people of Acadiana a unique combination of philosophy and medicine resulting in the highest quality orthopaedic care in the region. Dr. Henry has earned certification in sports medicine by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, ranking him among less than three percent of Orthopaedic surgeons nationwide who have achieved the subspecialty certification. He is also one of eight orthopaedic surgeons in Louisiana, to hold the sports medicine certification. An avid athlete, Dr. Henry has a special connection with all his patients, especially injured athletes and those hoping to maintain an active lifestyle. Dr. Henry is happily married and lives with his wife and children in Acadiana.
